OPERATING SYSTEM
Android OS
– by GOOGLE.
Windows OS – developed by MICROSOFT.
IOS – OS by
APPLE
Blackberry
OS – OS developed by RIM (RESEARCH IN MOTION)
Symbian – OS by NOKIA.
Out of these the most popular operating system as we all know is ‘ANDROID’. APPLE is still the top in technology but according to features provided by android with less price in India it is better than others. Symbian is almost out of race these days.
If you want to buy a mobile with android OS then go for its latest version Android - 4.4 Kit Kat. You won’t get bored of using ANDROID mobile.
SCREEN size and DISPLAY
The time has begun when the screen size of a mobile really does matter. We all neither want a small screen size mobile nor the biggest one. Large screen size mobile will not be comfortable to carry.
The best screen size of a mobile that you must go for is 4.5 to 5 inch. This is the perfect screen size of a smartphone.
And if you want a good quality display of your mobile then you must check the pixel per inch and resolution of the mobile, they should be more.
The acceptable pixel per inch (ppi) in budget smartphones is 218ppi, 233ppi, 256ppi, etc. go for these or more ppi according to your budget.
STORAGE
The internal storage\space of the smartphone should be more. Most of the apps are installed in the phone memory instead of the external SD card, if internal storage is less you can’t store much of your data, therefore internal storage should be more.
The internal storage most of the companies providing with their android mobiles is 4GB but the free space left for the user is between 2 to 2.5 GB the rest is used by the OS and its apps.
Choosing a mobile with 8GB internal storage would be better.
RAM
RAM (RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY) is used to store data temporarily. All the application while running their data is stored in the RAM.
More the RAM of a mobile more the multitasking you can do. Less RAM available in mobile can also stop any application to run.
The RAM of the mobile these days should be at least 1GB.
PROCESSOR
The processor is responsible for the smooth operation of any process in smartphones. However, you may not get the smooth operation if the processor is not good enough to handle the different operations in smartphones.
There are processors with different core (A processor core is a processing unit which reads in instructions to perform specific actions.), like single core, dual core, quad core, octa core.
More the core more the smooth operation, but the price of mobile will also increase with increase in cores.
You can go for a mobile with dual core or quad core, they can come under budget.
Dual core is good enough.
CAMERA
In a smartphone camera you can look for these:
Mega pixel – the 5 MP camera of a mobile is good enough.
Flash – there must be a LED flash to capture a good quality photo at night.
Auto focus– your smartphone must have an autofocus feature.
