This year 2015 could be the battle of budget smartphones
with high end features. After seeing the xiomi, gionee mobile brands reaching
heights the micromax decided to launch its new smartphone to keep their status
up in the market. Micromax has launched the first Cyanogen-based smartphone
under its new ‘YU’ brand. Last month, Micromax had announced the launch of
their new sub-brand for Cyanogen-based handsets.
The cynogen OS allows user to delete any app even the
preinstalled app comes with the mobile, it has better RAM management, security
updates, quick setting configuration options,etc. Cynogen OS is an open source
OS based on google android.
Micromax yureka features:
• Cyanogen
OS 11. Micromax Yureka runs Cyanogen OS 11 custom version made on Android
platform (version 4.4 KitKat) developed by Cyanogen. Cyanogen OS is well known
for its customisability, enhanced performance with additional security and
privacy features.
• The
micromax Yureka comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Cortex A-53 64 bit clocked
at 1.5GHz Octacore processor and Adreno 405 GPU. It must be noted that the
64-bit architecture is not supported by Android 4.4, but Micromax and
Cyanogen have promised that the phone
will be soon provided with the Android Lollipop update. Phones still need more
memory to fully functioning 64-bit capabilities and 2GB would not really
suffice.

LTE CAT4 Support. This smartphone has 4G LTE connectivity with support for both
LTE TDD 2300MHz and LTE FDD 1800MHz bands covering most present networks and
upcoming Indian 4G networks, means the mobile can support both 3G and 4G
network. It also has Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity options.

HD IPS,267ppi Display With 80 dgree viewing angle and has Corning Gorilla Glass
3 protection to make the device scratch proof and break resistant to some
limit. HD display on 5.5 inch may not give the right feel.
• 13MP
primary camera with Sony EXMOR sensor with a blue filter. It can record 1080p
at 30fps and 720p at 60fps video recording.
• 5MP front
facing, selfie’s can be clicked in better quality.
• This
mobile has 16GB Internal memory and comes with 2GB RAM which is quiet better in
this price range. It also has Expandable storage upto 32 GB.
